Decorative Folk Art

One Stroke Painting

Please Click HERE for my other decorative painting items.

Hi Everyone, hope you are all well.

I have been trying my hand a one stroke painting again, I did a few pieces a good few years ago, which included a garden fence, nest of table, a stair way and lots of used cd's and it was good fun.

I stopped because of family and other crafty stuff, but always kept the brushes and kept the paints in the loft for future use.  Now I have found my brushes and acrylic paint and decided to have another go. Got my old books out for a refresher and bought a few new one.  A good few years ago I could not afford the book of Decorative Folk Painting, Payne, Jean Paperback Book but now i have actually got a signed copy, its not to me, but.... i have a signed copy :D

This is the wrapping paper and tag, the wrapping paper is quite large, about 1meter square.
Also with matching tag.

All wrapped up, with Jute string - lovely :)

These are my first few attempts of a few garden signs I would like to continue with, I know that the writing is not fantastic, but I will be working on that on future attempts.

This was the first one, as you can see not the best of flowers or writing.

This one I was trying the canal roses style, not bad, again the writing lets it down.

This sign I was trying the cabbage rose, again not bad but the writing, well i started rushing it,
I will keep updating my progress,

Cheers

Kriss

7th Sept 2013
Hi there,

Since my above attempts, I have been practising most days.
I wanted to do something, so I decided I would start small, so I painted on some tags -
please see pics.......

11th September 2013 - Another project - Dart Board revamp.

Here we have another revamped item, it was a ugly dartboard which had the stuff peeling off the front, so hubby took it off and spray painted it with black spray paint, then I did a bit of practise work on it, and here it is, I think it looks lovely, cannot wait to put it up.

Work in progress                                                                                           Finished item

New for 2017

I have started to pick up my brushes again and managed to do a few pieces this week.  Not sure what i am going to do with them yet, but may put them on a selling site.
