2017 - update

I have completed the inktober challenge and really enjoyed doing a sketch every day in the month of October 2017.

You can see my #Inktober 2017 sketches here
5/4/14 Sunday

Decided to sit and watch TV, as you know I cannot just sit and watch TV so did a few sketches.
At the moment I'm getting items ready for a craft fair that is coming up in May.  Needed a few ideas for what to put on the tiles.  Though some of these may come in handy.

This week I have been sketching a little, as I said before not a great artist, well not one at all really, but it does not stop me from trying.  I do get a little frustrated when I cannot draw the things i like, I have not got a great imagination, and cannot draw from memory, but i like to copy draw and then add my own little bits n bogs.

here are a few of the ones i have done this week.

Flame Guitar

Daisy Drops

Flower and Sqirls

Green man - from memory ish

Indian sketch side

Indian Full face

Line Fish - just from an idea

Skull wings - skull copied online ish,
wings just drew as you can probably tell :)

Had a go at drawing Carousel Horses, I have always been fascinated by these, so I want to draw one then combine it with my pyrography.

This was the first carousel horse, but for some reason I did the pole slanting, its ok for a stationary horse but it does not look right.

This was the second horse I have done, still not
perfect, but I was pleased with the result for a 2nd attempt.

The sketches opposite are ideas of what i wanted and will probably build on these at a later date.

At the weekend I was treated to a new graphic tablet, always interested in art, but like everybody I just need more practice, so here is my first item with the graphic tablet, I scanned the image from my original drawing then went over the lines and then practised some shading, not used to shading, so I have lots to learn, but the web is a great hub for learning and youtube is the best.

I use Photoshop Elements 10.
